My kitten wont stop scratching at the walls and floorboards. Ive tried the spray bottle but she keeps doing it?

Im going crazy. I love my kitten but I am living in an apartment and she is scratching up everything in it! Ive gotten her a scratching post, and someone once told me that when she starts scratching pick her up and bring her to the scratching post and drag her paws against the post and it should work. Its not lol. Is my cat just a brat or what?! :(
