Affordable parcel shipping from the US to Hong Kong?

USPS has recently jacked up the international shipping charge for packages, a lot! There is no longer Parcel Post. There are only the different International Priority options which are ridiculously expensive. It's like $45 for a 3 pounder!!! Of course UPS, FedEx, DHL are all even more expensive. Are there other companies that are more reasonable?
