Can you walk from St. Simon's Island to Jekyll Island, GA?

Hello. We are going to GA to enjoy the beach. As I look at maps of Jekyll Island and St. Simon's Island the two look very close. Is there a walk way in between the two? If not, what about a ferry? Thanks in advance!
