Why won't the parking lights on my saturn vue won't go off?

we have a '05 saturn vue that we LOVE. Today a few hours after returning home from a day of running errands in the car a neighbor called and told us our parking lights were on! We opened and closed all the door and did EVERYTHING we could think of and we can't get them to go off. Help!
